Reporting to the Sales/General Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible for driving business development initiatives to help support the growth of the Service Master Franchise. The Sales Representative will be required to source and contact prospective clients, follow up on leads, and close deals to secure accounts. Specifically, the incumbent will cold calling prospective customers, deliver sales presentations on service offerings, and attend tradeshows and events to market service offering. This position will have a strong emphasis on client satisfaction and effectively transitioning new clients to the account and/or project managers.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Duties
  • Warm & Cold Calling of new and current clients
  • Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of all product and service offerings by developing an in-depth understanding of the application of products, service processes, and  respective features and benefits in order to speak to how they best fit the needs of the marketplace
  • Prospect opportunities to market ServiceMaster’s service offering within the target market
  • Source and contact potential clients, follow-up as needed, stay connected with leads, and actively engage interested clients
  • Establish and maintain relationships with potential clients and those in their businesses that have control or influence on the decision making process
  • Maintain prospective client database to utilize for ongoing marketing campaigns
  • Establish a high standard of performance measures to ensure consistency in delivery
  • Understand and interpret client needs by providing exceptional customer service and satisfaction
  • Develop annual sales plans for the store/territory in accordance to overall sales strategy established by management
  • Track and provide sales status updates to management on a regular basis 
  • Stay alert to changing business conditions including competitive activities, economic conditions, and market trends
  • Attend and participate in production meetings to learn more about established standards of performance and understanding customer's expectations related to  ServiceMaster’s ability to perform
  • Understand and interpret company policies to customers when required to ensure a high level of professionalism at all times
  • Perform other duties as required

Educational Requirements
Education Required:College diploma is required. Specialization in Marketing or Business Management is preferred.

Work Experience Requirements
Work experience required: Minimum of three (2) years of experience in sales with demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets 
Job related experience required: Minimum one (1) year of experience in cleaning and/or restoration services is preferred.

Physical Requirements
This position requires low level of physical exertion.  Moderate intensity of sensory effort is required.  
 
Working Conditions
There is a low risk of exposure to adverse working conditions.
Time will primarily be spent in an office environment during regular office hours. There may be requirements to work outside of the office on occasion.
